This Ithaca family aspires to a net-zero, carbon-neutral home, with all electricity used within the home produced on site. To meet their goal, they needed to add a little “oomph” to their existing PV system.
So, we added 7 higher-powered (360-watt) AC modules to the existing 22 (327-watt) DC modules. We chose to use AC modules for the addition so they wouldn’t need an additional or different inverter, just the microinverters built into the panels themselves.
